Woman to be eaten is a project for which artist invited the women surrounding her – family, friends and acquaintances. She asked them to choose some food from their freezers and pose with their breasts decorated with the food. Out of those photographs, she created a large scale art object-oilcloth referring to pornographic representations of the female body – as a body to be eaten, consumed and excreted. A body which is eroticized and objectified.
The exhibition took the form of a performative event during which the viewers, in order to see the piece, had to eat through the food covering the oilcloth.
