“The red fog of a terrible desire to caress you again for a moment obscures everything” belongs to the Sourcebook series: a continuously expanding historical archive dedicated to non-normative Polish women which launched in 2020. This work is inspired by the love correspondence between two writers, Maria Dabrowska and Anna Kowalska. The title of the piece originates from Anna Kowalska’s letter to Dąbrowska written in 1955.
The work is accompanied by a text which consists of quotations from 2339 letters exchanged between 1940-1964 by Maria Dąbrowska and Anna Kowalska.
